FAQ

What is the turnaround time on commissions?

4-6 weeks

What about payments?

I accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and cash. Payment is due in full prior to shipping. A deposit is required prior to starting any commission work. The deposit is not refundable.

Who do you ship through?

I ship all packages via USPS Ground Advantage. You can opt to pay extra shipping if you want Priority shipping. You'll receive tracking info as soon as the label is created. Please allow at least 24 hours for tracking to update.

What info will I need to give you when I order a commissioned piece?

You must know your ring size if you’re ordering a ring!!! You must provide your correct shipping address and contact information. Any questions I have related to the commission should be answered promptly to avoid turnaround time delays.

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes! You can arrange local pickup with me. Most of the time you would be meeting me at my place of business.

What if I have a problem come up with a piece you made?

All pieces are final sale. However, if I got the sizing wrong, a stone falls out, or the band becomes detached I will usually do a repair. You are responsible for providing me with your correct ring size. All repairs are on a case by case basis depending on what happened. If it is determined that the issue is due to problems with my own fabrication I will always fix it within a year of purchase. You are responsible for shipping it back to me if needed. I will not repair jewelry that has not been properly cared for or has been dropped etc. If a stone breaks in the setting I charge full price to make a new piece of jewelry. I charge the price of your jewelry for resizing due to being providing inaccurate sizing information. I reserve the right to refuse any repair.

What is proper care for my sterling silver jewelry?

Tarnish is oxidation. Oxidation occurs when the sterling silver has contact with air. If you’re not wearing your jewelry you should store it in an air tight baggie. There are tarnish prevention strips you can use in your jewelry box if you don’t like baggies. Oxidation can damage the integrity of the metal over time.

For polishing: Use a yellow Sunshine cloth. They last a really long time, take the least time to clean your jewelry & leave no residue. All polishing cloths do have some level of abrasive, but this one is so mild, you could polish your jewelry every day and still be fine. Try to avoid polishing the stone with your cloth, unless the stone is native copper, native silver, or mohawkite.

You can use a soft brush with soap and warm water to clean. Do not polish with toothpaste. Avoid harsh chemicals (which includes chlorine from swimming pools) perfume, lotion, sunblock, and excess sweat. Remove jewelry before doing any strenuous activity.

What happens if USPS fumbles my package?

If a US domestic item does not arrive due a USPS problem, I do NOT offer a replacement package. All shipments are insured via USPS up to $100. All missing packages must be routed through the USPS insurance claim system.
If an item is marked as “delivered” by USPS but the customer cannot find it, I do not offer money back and I do not ship a replacement. I do not accept returns of a duplicate order in this event.
